Call Of Duty 4 Review. Duty Calls.

Hell it's about time. With all the interesting issues circulating over the world. Infinity Ward finally got the message that World War 2 is history.

This is why it is called Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The game focuses more on multiplayer compared to singleplayer campaign. Well, no more Europeans for you, Middle-eastern baby.

The Gameplay

Campaign

Basically, You have to stop someone from releasing nukes.
Unfortunately, the single player campaign is very short. You can expect yourself to shoot and sprint your way to the credits within 5 hours.
It does give you a sense of satisfaction as the quality and the moment of the game will make you tremble.

Captain Price has returned !!!

Jaw-dropping moments are inevitable in this series. Although it is a short game, you will still raid through buildings all over middle-east, sneaking past through an army and avoiding yourself from being squished by tanks, dress up like a bush and becoming a sniper stud.
Unfortunately, it is still too short for an average FPS but the audio voicing and graphics are very well done.
If you have beaten the game over and over again. It's time to go for...

Multiplayer
Most of the maps are taken from a portion of single player maps. The maps in this game are healthy and allows you to engage them in different style. The map varies from wide open spaces which sniper and assault rules the map to close-compact that emphasize on versatile and speed.

What is more addictive is you get to rank up if you play the game frequently. Rank Up allows you to unlock more guns, perks and an honorary title.

If you are bored of massacring players or the other way around. You can always complete Challenges.
Challenges are a list of stunts you must pull to complete it. You will get a nifty exp when completing each of them and some awesome accessories for each of your guns. Killing 2 birds with one stone.
They are called challenges for a reason so some are hard to complete.

I must get those before X'mas

What makes it even more cooler are the perks.
In other words, they are enhancement.
Most perks offer extra abilities towards the players itself.
If you want to be faster, the Extreme Conditioning perk will make you sprint longer.
While some affects the weapon like,
Steady aim, grants you more accuracy when you are shooting off hand.
Perks can be pretty nasty sometimes, some perks allows the killed player to pull the pineapple before they die.
While some of them just manage to reach the handgun and take a pretty good aim at you.
Nevertheless, this is what makes the game enjoyable.
Another addition is, if you are able to kill 3 enemies in a row without dying. You can deploy a radar that shows enemies' location in the minimap. Killing 5 will allows you to summon an aircraft that carpet bomb in your chosen area. While 7 kills, a chopper will arrive and buzzing around the map shooting your enemies in the air. Beware, the chopper can be brought down by enemies. Heh, and you thought it will be invincible.

From the darkness, I now summon thou, Chopper!

You have a few modes to choose from. The classical TDM style, FFA, Capture the Flag are all there. Lastly, you can change the game rules by setting into hardcore mode, where weapon are more deadlier or an old-school mode which you pick up guns and perks.

Conclusion

The single player mode is kinda disappointing. But it still provides a very enjoyable yet memorable moments.

The real killer is the multiplayer that this new series has to offer.
Graphics, audios and gameplay are absolutely excellent.
Tons of guns, accessories and perks to unlock.
Gameplays can be varied into different kinds.
It is the next best thing after Rainbow Six and Counter-Strike. It's a breakthrough.

What more I can say? Hell, my friend is been playing it for the past years and he still finds it the best damn thing.

Again, Fans or No Fans. It deserves a 5 out of 5.
Gamespot is 9.0/10
