Devil May Cry 4 review. El Magnifico Diablo

It's kinda out-dated but it is still a good game. LoL.
Dante is back and this time you gotta play a new character, Nero.
In this installment the combos are even more deadly, stylish, and jaw dropping.
Storyline and gameplay is still fascinating as ever and the cool in-game cutscenes will make you revisit the theater gallery over and over again. *Eyes refuses to blink because of Dante's cool actions."
Okay, let's go straight into it.

Gameplay.
There is one major issue before you buy this game. Make sure you have a gamepad, if not you will be having finger cramps or maybe keyboard faulty. The game needs a gamepad to look perfect, without it, it's asking for punishment.
In this series, you have to stop an old hag from releasing hell pon the human world. Not so original eh?

You play as Nero in the first half of the series. Don't worry fans, you will like him as much as Dante soon enough.
Everyone knows that DMC series offer a very hardcore hacking, slashing, pounding, blowing up demonic entities.

it's about time they decide on planting a new character with a new ability. Nero's demonic right arm or better known as the Devil Bringer, can crush, pull, slam, tear any demonic minions and not to mention Bosses. Nero has only a few arsenal compared to Dante, the almight sword, Red Queen and the standard revolver, Blue Rose. As for the final weapon, franchise fan will go nuts upon seeing this weapon back to action. The Yamato.

New moves from both characters were over the top brutal and gorry. Each hack and slash send the enemy flying around and deforming in a very entertaining manner.

Apart from minions, if devil bringer was pulled successfully upon bosses, you will see Nero performed a finishing blow sequences by beating up the bosses in an unexplainable sensation.

Arm extension mode!!!

The graphics and in-game scenery are extremely breathtaking. Dungeons and maps are carefully well designed so that the player does not get lost easily.

It is almost impossible to get lost in this game as the design are so well done that you can even memorize it.
Although the graphics rocks, I have to admit that I do not like the puzzle soliving sessions that much. I will elaborate on that later.

Destruction comes within a package.

You must be thinking, it is still an action game. Moves are limited and sometimes gets repetitive. Wrong.
In DMC 4, thanks to Nero, players can now unleash hellish cool looking moves with his Devil Bringer. Slashing and tossing your enemies in the air and ground has never been this fun.
What bout' Dante you say? He can now switch style anytime everywhere like rubbing your own genie lamp. Yes, he can now change his fighting style willingly without accessing to any menu.
Resulting hundreds of different ways to crush your enemies with both characters.

The game still allows players to unlock history, character's and monster's data, and skills. As for skills, you will need Proud Souls to purchase them. Fear not, if you find the skill you bought is unwilling, you can have a refund anytime. Not much different in terms of orbs, they are still the same as the last series.

No different than it's predecessors, few more modes will be unlock if you finish the game at least once on every different mode. There is one mode that his very fun and it's exclusive for the PC only, The Legendary Dark Knight mode, this mode multiples the number of enemies you have to face compared to normal modes.

Say that I am good looking before I punch you in the face!

Puzzle solving session are not that hard in DMC 4 but it forces the player to roam around visited areas. Although you don't mind venturing this beatiful and gorgeous architectural landscape, you still find it kinda odd that you will have to walk it over and over again.
Not to mention you have to play as Dante and walk upon revisited map again but just with different puzzles to be solve. Irritating.

Apart from puzzles, boss fights are very spectaculars. The fights were very entertaining as they really need good reflexes and dexterous finger. What is more entertaining are the cutscenes after the fight. Prepare to see a move that is out of this world and some super athletics moves by Dante and Nero.

FistXSword, new anime XD

Again, the repetitive issue. The boss are fun to fight but it forces the player to kill it multiple times. On the second half of the game, Dante has to gone through each and every bosses that Nero had gone through. Making it feels a bit overkill don't ya think, Capcom?

The game system allows both DX 9 and DX 10. Both them are dead gorgeous. You will notice the cape floating around when you are jumping and the characters are in fluids motions. Still, Nero has the upper hand, the glowing Devil Bringer graces through the scene as it crushes every enemy that stands on his way.

Conclusion
The game is remarkable. Cool Graphics, gorgeous design of scenery, cool voice acting, and spectacular gameplay.
But, the game tends to be repetitive after sometime.
Nevertheless, the cool gameplay compensated it.
So? What can I say. It is still one of the good games.
Devil May Cry 4 earns his way to the top with a nifty 8.5 /10.
