Nintendo has come a long way. But it is time to change, Mario games has thousands of expansion/installments/sequels/continuation as far as I can remember...

Hair that defies gravity, wielding a superbly oversize broadsword like a twig is his signature. He is one of the most famous character in the Final Fantasy world. He indeed, deserves the mark of a hero. Cloud have been through alot of hard time as a hero, learning yourself is a clone of someone insane and having your memories fake could easily break anyone. But not him. Living up to his name(Strife), he lives through all kind of hellish moment. No, Tidus would not be a main cause he doesn't exit anymore.

The Scientist-commando that save the world from alien invasion and an alien nation at the same time. Has always been a silent protagonist, a man with few words. The only thing I want to see in the game is to see him talking. Let me tell you a secret, IMO, he is the most coolest geek around the planet.

Let's not all of us forget this Chibi(little guy). Apart from saving the world with his sword and shield. Same as Gordon, he is also a silent protagonist but rich in facial expression. At least, unlike Gordon you'll get to see his face. It's been too long I can remember when Zelda first came, SNES (Super Nitendo) i think Please correct me If i am wrong.

Hadou-ken! Shoryu-ken! Who doesn't know a man with a white "Gi" roaming through the world of StreetFighter. He has always been portrayed as the strongest character in StreetFigther. A pure martial artist that lives for nothing other than achieving his goal. No, I will never Guile is the protagonist of SF series!!! and for the fans ...Broom head doesn't deserve a mark of a hero.

The clone of a powerful soldier (check), saving the world....Twice (double check), do not possess any superpowers(check). Come on, who doesn't heard of the name, Snake. Master of Stealth, Master of CQC(close quarters combat) and not to mention the funny moment.

Seriously, I want to know how his hair looks like. Other than that, he makes an aspiring leader, showing no signs of fear, hesitant, or mercy when going on a war against an alien race. He is your typical everyday hero that bleeds for himself and helping his teammates along the way. Another additional info? His Bender from Futurama FTW!!!
Oh my god, now I just noticed that I've been wearing the same top and hot pants for the whole series while I am tomb-raiding.

I almost miss this one. Yes, the chick that raids a dungeon/tombs/caves while dual wielding the handguns. Dealing with monsters at least twice her size most of the time she can still pack a punch. I don't believe there is anyone in the world that can back flip, side flip, or any directional flip while firing a deagle. Not to mention , she is an anti-thesis of the stereotypical reverse-proportion theory. (bigger breast = more stupid)

Sonic The Hedgehog (Sonic Series).
Blue, kick ass, slice almost everything into half, running in a speed of sound, and having one hell good of an attitude, what can you ask for more on a hero. You have to admit Sonic looks cool when he is in speedy mode. Dodging obstacles, dashing into the heart of danger itself. Speed is the Factor!

Dead or not dead? That is the question. Anyhow, running around with a Nemesis spooking out of an unexpected game scene is not something everyone can handle. And not to mention, the combination of a blue tube plus zombieapocalypse-settings is the perfect harmony.
Yes. These are all the famous hero I've known. Be it famous/infamous or not famous xD, heroes were always determined by players and will always live through inside our heart by the example they set during their journey.
